Division of Human Science
Studies "humans" in a comprehensive and scientific manner.
Research related to humans remains separated into two areas: the field of arts and the field of sciences. "Human science" is, however, an academic area that breaks through conventional, divided areas of research, with the aim of realizing research on humans that is done in a comprehensive manner involving the humanities, natural science, and social science. In the "human science field," research is conducted on the state of the human spirit in a broad range of areas, including philosophy, ethics, literature, and psychology. In the "East Asian culture research field," research focuses on the cultures of the East Asian region, including Japan, using research techniques that are applied to cultural anthropology, historical science, and even the history of thought. In the "health and sports sciences field," research is conducted on growth and health, which are among the physical aspects of humans, and on sports, from psychological, medical, physiological, and other viewpoints. In each of these fields, we aim to conduct research into humans in a comprehensive manner, without stressing any one specialty.

Objective of the division
The objective of the Division of Human Science is to foster human resources that can capture the essence of humanity in a comprehensive manner while deepening their own specialized fields, by teaching them about the academics related to humans.
Division of Environmental Science
Fosters professionals that can address environmental issues from a global viewpoint.
In the 21st century, the word "environment" has become a keyword in academic research. More than anything else, the environment is where humans live; it is not too much to say that the environment is the creation of humans.
Environmental science, whereby we examine the environment that surrounds us, is an inherently interdisciplinary academic area integrating many different fields; the humanities, including philosophy, art, literature, and history, are indispensable elements of environmental science.
This division can be said to be aimed at those who can constantly capture and consider environmental issues on a global scale and who are willing to attempt to solve these issues based on their own moral principles and at their own volition.

Division of Information Technology
Gives students knowledge of information processing techniques, that are changing on a daily basis.
In Japan, an advanced information society has been realized, demanding people with the advanced skills related to information processing.
Satisfying such demands requires the education of engineers who have advanced expertise in AI technology, network technology, and so on.
To satisfy these demands of society, this division aims to foster professional engineers with advanced knowledge who can exchange information by participating in global networks, by ensuring that they are constantly re-learning the basics of science and technology that are related to information processing, and by teaching them to acquire knowledge of information processing techniques that are updated on a daily basis.

Division of Advanced Studies in Arts and Design
Cultivates comprehensive thinking and creativity to satisfy the future needs of society.
This division is intended to educate not only graduates but also designers who can operate in a broad range of fields, design educators, and beauty science researchers, and provide them with research guidance. The objective of the division is to cultivate comprehensive thinking and creativity and to foster human resources that can satisfy the future needs of society. To this end, in the educational research area of the Division of Advanced Studies in Arts and Design, we educate students and provide them with research guidance in the following fields: "Esthetic and art-historical field" in which they learn about philosophical and historical topics related to design; the "architectural and environmental field" in which they learn about the methods and concepts involved in the design of working and living environments; the "stereoscopic and spatial design field" in which they learn about the design of living equipment, spatial modeling, and so on; the "visual information design field" in which they learn about plane expression and video expression including visual design; and the "beauty science field" in which they think and learn beauty based on intelligence and sensitivity. While deepening their individual expertise, students can acquire the means to think comprehensively by taking inter-field or inter-division classes in a cross-sectoral manner.
